"Daddy, Daddy, please read me a story before I go to sleep", said Keturah. Mr. Andersun smiled and said, "of course baby girl". Once upon a time there was a town in a faraway place known as Seeville. In Seeville, there were four groups of folks. Three of the groups believed in working and playing together. One group did not believe in anything but finding ways to take advantage of the other groups. Every year, Seeville had a big fair to celebrate the sale of the town's main product, gold paint. Everyone was having so much fun at the Seeville Fair, they didn't hear a faint sound in the distance. It was the whistle at the Gold Paint Factory letting everyone know that something big was about to happen.

About the Author
Evelyn Diann Cook has creative gifts in visual arts, music and writing. She has over thirty years of experience instructing and developing artistic youth programs, many with an entrepreneurial component. Ms. Cook has artwork for purchase and has exhibited throughout Connecticut. She is an accomplished vocalist and has successfully recorded and has been billed with several professional musicians. Her most recent achievement is the creation of, The Andersuns, children’s book series. Each of the Andersun books focus on a different life lesson. Her first in the series is entitled, “Jarrell’s Sweet Tooth” and is about 8 year old Jarrell Andersun learning the importance of making healthy eating choices. This second book, “Keturah’s Bedtime Story”, is a collaborative effort with Ms. Cook and her son, JaVon O. Stokes. Ms. Cook is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Arts Illustration Design, and a Master of Science Degree in Art Education. She resides in Hartford, Connecticut, where she is an Adjunct Professor in the Art Departments at Capital Community College and Central Connecticut State University.
