As I travel the "Christian road of life", I have experienced many spiritual road signs. Sometimes in my Christian walk it is like traveling a long, straight, traffic free and smooth road. I travel along this road enjoying the scenery and thinking to myself "I sure would like this road to lead to my final destination." But without much notice I see a sign that reads "curves ahead." I have to sit up a little straighter to make sure I am fully alert and prepared to make the curves when they begin. It is this way many times in the Christian life...we live for a number of days or weeks and it appears everything is going pretty smoothly and we are enjoying the special blessigs of God and then suddenly we are confronted and faced with some of the curves of life. We are at this time shaken within our souls to realize and understand that we must draw closer to our Lord as we must cope with those particular situations or circumstances that have entered our lives. We dare not think the Christian life will be all smooth roads...

"God is Still in Control" is a devotional book that will challenge you to believe in a greater way that God's grace is sufficient for all those who love and serve Jesus Christ. Even in difficult and troubled times we have a foundation that will never fail us.. This foundation that is sure and steadfast is found in Jesus Christ. The ultimate purpose of these devotions is not only to be a blessing to those who read them, but to bring honor and glory to God.
About the Author
At age 71, he wrote his first devotional book, "My Times are in Thy Hands." This is his second devotional book, "God is Still in Control." Up to a little over a year ago he had never written any type of published work before. He has served in the ministry for over forty years and in these devotions he shares many life experiences that he prays will be an inspiration, encouragement, and challenge to those who will read these devotionals. It is his desire that these devotions will inspire those who know and love Jesus Christ to have a closer walk and relationship with their Savior and Lord.
