About the Book

This book of poetry is a very unique collection of poems. This book was written by three generations of women, poem writers who are similar in so many ways. Within these pages a grandmother, mother, and daughter share their individuality, their personal experiences, imagination, and the fun times they had. They show, even though people can be so alike, they can also be very different. The poets also ask you take a moment and record your inspirations from the poem titles. The authors hope this book inspires you to put to paper your thoughts on the subjects they wrote about, so you to can share your creativeness with future generations.

About the Author

Patricia (Pat) Deeter was born in West Virginia a coal miner’s daughter. She moved to Pennsylvania in her early twenties. She has used poetry to mark various events and turning points in her life. From the birth of her first child to watching him leave for war. From the wedding to her first husband to his untimely passing, from the birth of her first grandchild to the passing of a close family member, these events can all be found in her poetry. Because her poems are about the events in her life they are very moving to family members.

Kim Irwin was born and raised in Pennsylvania, Kim lived through hard times and good times with her mother and step dad. Kim, not able to get to know her biological father until near the end of his life, like her mother, began using poetry to record the feelings she felt from various events in her life. As her younger daughter began to grow older and also began writing poetry, Kim decided it would be nice to have the poems recorded in a book. She thought it would be nice for herself, her mother, and her daughter to write about a common subject and see how the different feelings, emotions and styles of poetry would come to life. These pages are that dream come true.

Alysia Irwin was born in the early nineties in a small Pennsylvania town. She is a junior in high school and is involved in cosmetology, cheerleading and gymnastics. She plans to go on to college to become a veterinarian. Poetry is something that comes natural to her. She began writing poetry at an early age and arbitrarily writes as she feels inspired to do so.
