Suddenly, the helicopter landed on the ground and several men in suits jumped onto the ground and ran toward the house. They held their coats and hats very tight while they ran because the wind made them flap in the breeze.
Soon, there was a loud knock on the door. The boys looked at each other in alarm. No one ever knocked on their door so loudly before. They could hardly wait to see who the men were and what they wanted at their home. They sneaked out of their room and down the hall until they could see into the den where Mommy answered the knock on the door. They could barely hear the things that were said.

About the Book
"The Monster on the Moon" is the third book in a series of books written in the Tales From the Creek series. Here the adventures and stories a group of children share who live in the same neighborhood come to life as they learn to expand their imagination and explore their world.
In "The Monster on the Moon", two little boys imagine what their world would be like if the President sent them on a secret mission to the moon. An adventure on a spaceship takes the boys far away where they solve a problem with a moon monster no one else can solve.
About the Author
Bridgett Jackson grew up roaming the trails of the Appalachian Mountains and listening to people share stories and tales of their lives. Her facination with each story she heard helped her develop a deep love for the Appalachian Culture and the tradition of telling a story.
As her own children grew, they spent many hours together creating adventures developing stories about their adventures.. She began her writing career in an effort to preserve the history and culture of the mountains and the people she loves.
