Quietly they sipped on Sunny Delight from her silver goblets and sat a few more minutes enjoying the brilliant flowers, chirping birds, and bushy-tailed squirrels that ran along the telephone lines. The girls loved being with Grandma again and felt like they could stay there forever.
“This is like heaven,” Louise broke the silence.
“Yes, sweetheart, this is MY Heaven,” nodded Grandma with a smile. “Don’t you love my garden? I work in it every day.”
“Oh, Grandma,” said Hazel, “You have so many flowers!”
“Yes, I do, but still there are never too many. Every time you do a good deed you are sending seeds to me to plant in this beautiful garden. So when you’re feeling a little sad, just help your neighbor or do something nice for someone in your family. You’ll be planting seeds in heaven and I’ll be sure to take care of them as they grow into beautiful flowers, just like these.”
