About the Book

This book is the first of a series being written to promote enthusiasm and immediate actions among our young readers to protect Mother Earth and her water, air, and other natural resources.

About the Author

The author’s name, Mayuri Essarar, has been created by a couple who enjoys nature and believes that the positive actions of today’s generation will protect the earth for future generations. After all, the degradation of our environment happened only in the past century or two by mankind, whereas the Earth has been around for millions of years. Moving to Mars is an option, but changing our thinking and daily practices to reverse the Earth’s degradation is a better solution.

Sri Rangarajan (Essarar) is an environmental practitioner working toward providing clean water for drinking and recreation around the world. He has masters’ and doctoral degrees and extensive experience in natural resources management and protection. His wife, Maha Seshadri (Mayuri), is a family physician with a masters’ degree in public health. She is passionate about public health protection from water- and air-borne diseases. The couple from Bridgewater (NJ) has two nature-loving children, Vijay and Avantika, and the family frequently enjoys their hiking, camping, and ecological tours. This book is dedicated to our families and friends.
