Divorce and Remarriage was one of the topics that my husband and I decided to discuss on one of our weekly television programs. Our search for the causes and curses for this problem led us to the scripture. We discovered that the word of God had something to say in fact it had a lot to say about divorce and remarriage.
As Lloyd and I delved into this study of divorce and remarriage I became increasingly concerned, because what I was finding in the scripture did not coincide with what I had heard preached or seen practiced. I concluded that there must be something, perhaps a nugget somewhere in the Bible that I had not found. If there was a verse of scripture that endorsed divorce and remarriage I honestly wanted to find it. It was determined to make the connection with the scripture and actual lifestyle.
It was during this time of searching that I had a dream. In the dream I was telling my husband that I was going to ask a world reknown evangelist and Prophet what was his opinion on divorce and remarriage. This Minister is a man of integrity. I trust his word. I guess that is why in my dream I wanted to hear what he had to say on the subject.
However, as soon as I had expressed the desire of asking this great man of God about divorce and remarriage, a voice thundered out of the heavens. The voice seemed to fill both heaven and earth. The voice said, “have I not already spoken, would you rather to hear the voice of man rather than the voice of God?” I woke up with a start.
Several months later I felt compelled to write this book. I immediately asked the Lord to reveal to me his will concerning what I felt. I was led by the Holy Spirit to read Habakuk 2:2 “ and the Lord answered and said write the vision and make it plain upon the tables that he may run that readeth it for the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie though the vision tarry wait for it will surely come, It will not tarry.”
I strongly believe that this book is for this time. This is the time when portions of scripture which were once veiled are being illuminated and false assumptions of the word of God are being replaced with truth. This is the time when God is ready for the church to experience the fullness of his glory. However, God’s glory will only come to the church that is not defiled. God is therefore removing the veil from blind minds (2 Corinthians 4:4) so that his truth will set men free.
The bride will be made ready to meet the bridegroom. May the body of Christ be challenged and changed by this book.
