About the Author
Dr. Ruth Cohen resides in New York City where she enjoys art of all kinds, music, and is active in social justice causes. The writing of this book reflects the realization and thought that art could have a healing effect on a viewer. During the time of service on the art committee of a New York City hospital, Ruth was invited to present an art-in-room program. Gratified by her work on the that project inspired her to conduct research on art and healing. That research became her PhD dissertation and ultimately this book.
