About the Book

Inspired by the recent popular interest in our country's historical legends and folklore, The Mediocre Life of Jordan Gaites is a fast paced story about a private detective with CIA background investigating the suspicious death of a close friend. His investigation will lead to a historic legend that has the potential to change the world as we know it today. This blend of U.S. history and folklore that borders on science fiction will captivate the reader from beginning to end.

About the Author

Robin McKay's career and interests have always revolved around science and physics. He loves science fiction and mystery novels that take scientific fact and mix it with fiction such that the blend between fact and fiction is so subtle that it leaves the reader wondering what is real and what is not. Robin is not a fan of pure fantasy that defies all the laws of physics and therefore he prefers science fiction and mystery that instead can be believeable by both those with scientific backgrounds and those without.

His inspiration comes from books and movies such as the National Treasure series that combine history with folklore or legend to produce a plot that leaves you wondering where historical facts ends and fiction begins.

Robin writes in the hope to inspire imagination in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He believe that life is boring if you do not add "what-if" to the "what-is" in your life.
