Over the course of the last fourteen years, I have heard a lot of inmates tell me of their plans to serve God after they are released from prison. Most of them never follow through on it because they never allow God to do what He desires to do in them while they are still incarcerated. God doesn't have to wait until your circumstances change in order to begin working in your life. Notice the light shined in the prison. You may view this episode of your life as the worst of possible circumstances, but I want to tell you that your worst circumstance is God's greatest opportunity. There is a great work that God wants to perform in you now, so that you may be able to serve Him later. Don't abort the process; allow God to reveal Himself to you right where you are - even in the depths a prison.
