The Time Travel Adventures of Oomog the Apeman and Other Tales I Told My Grandchildren

Originally, I used Oomog the prehistoric hominid as the first member of the Doria clan when relating his adventures to my sons. His story tells of a simple life in the trees with his mate Sqawma and his eventual encounter with surviving velociraptors from the dinosaur age. Oomog joins with the raptors on their hunting forays and learns bipedal locomotion as well as a carniverous diet. During these encounters Oomog also learns to use a weapon and how to kill in defense of a friend.

Meanwhile,the brilliant scientist Max Von Doria and his wife Cutta have experimented with time travel and managed to bring Oomog into their laboratory and modern times. In their efforts to return Oomog to his original era, he is hurled through time into various predicaments that endanger his life. How Oomog with his limited intelligence deals with these situations is the crux of the story.

Following Oomog's adventures, the book goes on to contain several vignettes taking scenes from various situations and life experiences.These are related in the same manner that my children, grandchildren and some adults listened to with rapt attention always coaxing me to publish the stories for all to read.
