About the Book
¿Qué es lo que ves? is an interactive book designed to entertain children and develop phonemic awareness through rhyme. After reading this book, children will come up with their own rhymes using their imagination and creativity.
The appealing illustrations enrich the text and are designed to help children learn Spanish words both visually and phonetically.
About the Author
María Teresa Oneto is a former preschool teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and storytelling. As an educator and a mother, she has always loved reading to her students and children, finding joy in the magic of books and the power of language. Drawing on her professional background and personal experiences, María Teresa began writing children’s books encouraging play, learning, and imagination.
Originally from Lima, Peru, she has lived in Washington State since 2007 with her husband and two children. In 2019, she co-founded a bilingual (Spanish - English) elementary school, where she helped nurture a love for language and culture in young learners. Today, she continues to write while also developing social-emotional learning curricula, combining her dedication to education with her belief in the importance of empathy, connection, and creativity.
