Captain Prime Volume 1: Rise of Demise

Chapter 1

              Denny Banks looked down at his watch and saw that he was already ten minutes late for his business appointment.  Today was the day that he was to unveil his invention that would put his father’s company, Banks’ Enterprises, on the market.  He looked out the window of the limo to the streets of Cledwyn City.  People were lined up at least three miles back with binoculars trying to get a glimpse of what Denny Banks had invented. 

                “Quiet a crowd isn’t it?” Denny asked his driver running a comb through his sleek blonde hair.

                “I've never seen the likes of it before sir.” His butler Charles Smith replied keeping his eyes on the road.

                “Are we almost there?”

                “Yes sir, as a matter of fact we are there.” Charles pulled the limo to a slow stop in front of an unfinished twenty floor hotel. 

                “Thanks Charles, this shouldn’t take long.” Denny said getting out of the limo and putting on a pair of dark sunglasses. 

                People applauded and cheered at the sight of Denny.  He walked down the aisle of people restricted by thick red ropes.  Denny extended both hands getting high fives from several different people.  At last he came to the base of the unfinished building made of only steel girders.  A news crew stood waiting for him with the young and beautiful anchorwoman Ashley Gales.  She was dressed in a business type brown dress and had her auburn hair put up into a bun.  Beside her stood a man dressed in a flannel shirt and blue jeans.  He wore an orange vest over top of his shirt.  He had thick black hair and an even thicker beard. 

                “And here we have live, the engineer of the future himself, Denny Banks.” Ashley Gales said looking into the camera and speaking into the microphone, “Tell us Mr. Banks what your fascinating new invention is.”
