"I arrived at my sons school ten minutes before the dismissal bell to prepare myself for answers from a brokenhearted child, I knew that I did my best as a single mother and gave my all to all of my children so what could have gone wrong, what did I do to fail him as a parent or what did we not do as a family. When I approached my son about the empty bottles he immediately started to cry and stressed that I would not understand and its nothing he could not handle on his own, the pain in his eyes and voice could have killed an army but he brushed it off and said that he’s just going through something with his girlfriend and he promise not to drink again even though I felt it was more than what he was telling me I believed and trusted in him. Things begin to get better so it seemed but in reality it didn’t he just hid it much better this time and turned to his friends, through the advice and lifestyle of his friends he began to dress in all black (the gothic look) trying to be accepted and find a place that’s comfortable. I'll Find a Way is about the heart and soul of what love can do when confronted with life challanges. Our sexual orientation differs but our decision to love our children leaves no choices. My son Ricky suffered from self inflicting pain, depression , suicidal thoughts, and the fear of acceptance of himself .With the love and support of his family and friends he found his way and accepted his life............ an intelligent, honorable, respected Gay young man.

Deon Davis resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A single mother of three, and also a proud grandmother .
As a first time author i experienced joy and a sense of self acceptance of my own through writing this book , on this journey with my son i realized that i had a obligation to other hurting gay teens, confused parents and love ones and also a positive story to tell the world.
