Reviving Common Sense

How can so many Christians in America, including our elected officials, proclaim ourselves as a Christain nation and then create war in the name of Jesus Christ to rid the world of evil yet our own actions of evil in the name of war continues to create more evil in the world? As long as man is in control of man in our present world there can never be hope of world peace, because deep down mankind would rather live in a world that doesn’t have a God. The world of today led by the new age movement is professing: “Man is God; Individual man is the creator of his own universe and ultimately what man does only matters to man as man is in control of his own destiny, and the rest of the world doesn’t matter as man will stand on anyone’s back to get ahead in his own life.” For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be (Romans 8:6–7). So when you take a look at our example of the video game, life truly is a game and at the end of the day our whole existence on Earth is to show God we believe in Him and can trust Him, which ultimately means He can trust us eternally to live with Him in Heaven. The common sense message is there is an answer to winning the game called life which means putting all of our trust in God, yet with everyday life we first have to understand the rules of the game to understand the meaning of the game. This is basic common sense: it is never fair or fun to play a game without understanding the meaning of the game and its rules.
