The story of the phoenix began one summer
afternoon when a boy named Trever was playing at the park. Not usually outside,
he would normally be found at a friend’s house playing video games. This time, that wasn’t the case; he was at
the park, playing all alone because his friends were on vacation.
That’s when it happened.
He found something sticking out of the ground. It was curved just like a
football, but the color was wrong. A football is brown, but this was white with
red marks all over it. Trever had no idea what it could be, so his imagination
started to run wild.
As
he started to dig, he found that it was stuck deep in the ground. It was almost
as if it had fallen out of the sky. He began to dig harder and started to think
of all the amazing things it could be.
Trever thought that if it did turn
out to be some kind of new ball, when his friends got home, they could come
back to the park to play with it. They would not have to stay in and play video
games all day.
The minute he started to pull it out of the
ground, he knew it wasn’t a ball. It was in fact an egg, a very large egg at that. It
must have something really big inside of it that no one has ever seen before,
thought Trever. He had never learned in school about an egg that was white with
red marks on it.

Trever and the Phoenix is about a young boy that is home alone for the summer. He finds an adventure in an unexpected place, while making a new friend with a magical Phoenix. This book is fun and educational for children that teaches them to be responsible.
About the Author
As a child Philip Harris grew up reading comic books, and spending his time drawing. He found inspiration from the world around him to fuel his imagination as he started making his own homemade comics. Always dreaming up new worlds of exotic creatures all of them having their own story to be told. Now using his art he has begun telling his own stories to share with you and your children.
