Seeing without Seeing

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder was the most important goal for Grandmother Moon to explore during this time in history. She had been busy for years teaching ancient ways of knowing to anyone who wanted to learn about the sun, wind, water, air and of course the moon. But since her first meeting with Roy in the story "Grandmother Moon and Roy G. Biv: Explore the Amazing Secrets of Color", she did keep her promise to study natural healing and the benefits of complementary medicine for anyone who experienced the symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Much to her surprise, for she was very wise, Grandmother Moon discovered effective methods of prevention and intervention for this special population. She also uncovered an interesting history of the diagnosis of ADHD; subsequently, she decided to write information in a second book for Roy G. Biv.

 Roy was impressed with Grandmother Moon's writings as she challenged the use of medication as the primary therapy for ADHD. She did understand the value of many pharmaceuticals, but she was not pleased with the idea of medicating children with the potential negative side effects of prescribed medications on a regular basis. She included, 90% of the worlds' supply of Ritalin like drugs are prescribed in the USA.

Grandmother Moon knew of the challenges and the promise of success within the practices on ancient healing and current day medicine. In other words, the combination of ancient healing and science does enhance the well-being of children whether they require medication or not!

Grandmother Moon was prepared and on a mission of hope for the children of today and of the future.
