PINK RIBBON
I will be poked and loose my hair,
with pain and scars that I will half to face.
Now that my clock is ticking,
I am begining to fight the human race.
I stand infront of a mirror and it's like
something from a horror clip you'de see.
For every woman that goes through this,
I pray that soon you'll all be set free.
The pink ribbon that I wear, for
the disease I ask myself why?
The promise I gave to myself that I'll
be emotionaly strong and I will not cry.
So I will deal with this dark sole
and live until I can feel nomore.
I will be a pedal on a flower or an
eagle that will soon soar.
I feel tired and weak and wantit
to go, why's this happening to my life?
Think a moment that this could
be your mother, daughter, friend or wife.

About the Book
My poetry consists of fact and some fiction. I am inspired by actual events and things that happen in real life. I started writing as a teen and continued only for fun. I entered one of my poems in a contest after a friend’s baby died after birth. I had a lot of people tell me that I am good at what I do and that I should have my own book. I enjoy finding new topics to search and write about.
About the Author
I started writing when I was young and when I got married and started a family, my writing was put on hold. I use to just write poems for fun until my husband mentioned to me I should put them in a book. My poetry consists of mostly fact and some fiction. I usually write about things that happen in my life. I got married to my husband Ted at age 20, so I've been married 17 years to the same man. I have 4 children, 1 boy 19 and 3 girls 18, 16 and 15. My son Cody does art or illustrations for my book and my youngest daughter Ashley is just starting out doing poetry. My other daughter Cassandra has talent in other areas and my next daughter Chelsea has A.D.D. I have Cerebellar Ataxia, which is a neurological disease. I am an only child born and raised in
