About the Book

This is a story about the love and loss of a boy's best friend, a Chocolate Lab.  Everything Robbie does is more fun when Nick plays along.  When Nick is injured, Robbie's heart is broken when he has to say goodbye.  The story ends on a happy note when Robbie is introduced to a new best friend, Lacey.

About the Author

As an Aunt to 16 neices and nephews, a Step-Grandmother to 4 and a child care provider for over 20 years, Laura Newland has read thousands of children's books over the years.  After saying goodbye to her own Chocolate Lab of 10 years, Laura found it hard to explain to young children how it feels to say goodbye to such a dear friend.  This story helped the children understand the loss of a friend.
