About the Book
My granddaughter, Rebecca, and I used to play rhyming games together so I wrote a rhyming story for her. “Grandma Carol’s Book of Stories in Rhyme” is a collection of rhyming stories that will surely inspire readers to visualize and memorize every story reflected in this book. It’s simple but direct to the point. I hope children of all ages will have as much fun reading my stories as I had writing them.
About the Author
I was born in Morley near Leeds, attending school at Peel Street Primary, then later Morley Grammar School. After leaving school, I worked with horses moving to Aldborough near Boroughbridge in 1963 where I spent three happy years looking after the children and the ponies at Aldborough Manor. I now live in a small village near Wetherby with my husband, John, and am a keen member of Wetherby Bridge Club. We have four sons and six grandchildren. My granddaughter, Rebecca, and I used to play rhyming games together so I wrote a rhyming story for her. Thus, ‘The Lion’ was born followed by many others until, with the encouragement of all my family, I decided to have them published.
