paragraphs,
phrases
Literary remarks formed in word and fashioned in heart.
Poetry is many words expressing to the smallest detail
The poet speaks for others to hear
as well as him or herself
he or she has possession of riches beyond wealth.
Anyone with a rudimentary education can connect words, sounds, and thoughts
yet to give them directions that people can safely follow is not the gift of all men.
It takes some to build and others to design
unlike the skyscraper
Poetry is not limited by the skyline; but rather the mind
nor does the function of that green paper cause it harm
or make it safer.
Poetry starts with the first letter and does not end at the period
A myriad of thoughts; a consistency of words that combine to form symbols
not just sounds no man made bounds, no restrictions
the fuel to the poets fire is the everyday predictions
that hasten men to the heights of happiness or the depths of despair
the poet is there either to lift you or give warriors courage
with words as a weapon their function as a shield stronger than steel
with the courage of the greatest heroes
marching to battle with the purpose of promise that the fight will be fought
that the victory will be sought with great tenacity
with unlimited and the most courageous capacity
that 1 word will be heard and it will win
for it means one thing but in it is everything yet it is just:
1 word!
Poetry is the whispred shout that speaks volumes in silence. I hope you enjoy the thoughts that I find to be of great value; within I share these treasures. So without further ado here is the mind of DeVoice.
Another world is not some other world
It is the world that exists on the surface
Covered by beaureacratic inconsistencies
by political definitions that rearrange freedoms
that revive the past that slumbers in silence
Let the dead bury the dead
but when we try to view ahead by looking behind
Sighted men become as though they were blind
Nothing to find but the cold and the dark
We seek to find the guilty spark but

About the Book
Always listen to the silent words for they speak the loudest. I pray something within these pages brought on a laugh, a concern for others, maybe even an understanding of the world we live in and even more so the world we are creating. I urge each of you to think about the good we have in life now and with the knowledge we have attained the good, even better we can leave behind. My name is Wayne Hall; born in a small town in
I never married because my life has consisted of school and writing, although I came close but, (Mary was her name) sh passed this life in 2004 and it devastated me; my life became a country song very fast I lost my close friend and mentor George, my dog. These; on top of being sick a majority of my life and just returning from a hospital stay I unknowingly allowed these events to weaken me but my passions, (Faith, writing and education) brought me up and I know they will carry me over. I pray that you enjoy reading these words as I enjoyed writing them. Poetry became my escape and I hope these words can bring the same, if not more to you.
