About the Book

BROKEN POETRY IN ABSTRACT FRAGMENTATION presents a collection of thirteen poems that explore themes as diverse as the meaning of existence to people pressing the bounds of their own realities. The title of the work itself means Broken Poetry set in the style of Abstract Fragmentation. That is, broken and disconnected ideas, a play on words and their phonetics, and visual imagery set in the emotional form of abstract and fragmented sentences. Terence Scott, throughout the work, displays a number of poetic techniques that demonstrate a mastery of the English language through creative and thought provoking word choices. These poems defy conventional structure. There is an existential air that hangs over them and an inherent touch of the Occult. The collection poses interest to readers seeking a new voice in modern poetry and to all poetry fans seeking a fresh perspective on classic poetic themes.
