The Life and Death of a Playa

I, Timothy K. Sawyer, am sitting in this treatment center reflecting on my life. This story is my life—how I was raised in a family that allowed me to see very vividly both sides of life, thus leading me down the path that was destined for destruction. It shows how my life was unmanageable as a child and how I was drawn to trouble even then.

I was a wild child that even at an early age had fleshly desires. I was consumed by perversion and was sexually aware. I watched some of the best players in the world play the games—oh, and how they succeeded, or how I thought they were succeeding. This had me intrigued from the start.

I watched my dad as he went to work and church and played the women. I also watched as all his friends did the same. My dad was more of a player than a pimp. He had a way about him that would make women give him whatever he wanted. He would bring his check to my mom and still had plenty of money.

Along with going to church every Sunday as a child, I spent a lot of time with my older cousins during the week. That’s where I learned about pimping, selling drugs, and fast cars. Now I can see how all of this almost cost me my life. Knowing what I know now, I realize it was all part of God’s plan to get me where I am today. If I never would’ve gotten hooked on drugs/alcohol, I never would’ve been in this treatment center to send you this message.

Parts of the book are very graphic and explicit. I hope it doesn’t offend anyone. It’s just my story.

I plan to use part of the proceeds from this book to do some good—maybe help some women because of the emotional strain I’ve caused so many. I want to help others get off drugs. Lord knows, I helped them destroy themselves. If you don’t get anything else out of this book, I hope you women pick up some things to not let some slick-ass player like me use you up. For the men, find yourself one woman and take some instruction, and drive your woman wild.
