All we have to do is just “be.” This delightfully written, illustrated story, by Inga Gelford, is told through the innocent and non-judgmental eyes of a child. The story centers around Lydia, a little girl, who, when aided by a pair of animated, living, glasses, can see the true, unchanging, core, essence within everyone she meets. Life doesn’t have to be a struggle and perhaps all we have to do is just be. Inga Gelford weaves a charming and beautifully illustrated story relating that perception is interpretation, suggesting that impressions can be very misleading depending upon the lens you choose to look through. This transcendental tale touches upon the healing and uplifting result of encountering the natural purity and guileless inner nature of a child. Lydia sees that everyone has a jewel inside and looking upon others with love and compassion in your heart enables one to see the truth within. About the Artist Hannah Patty is an age 18-year-old watercolor artist living in McMinnville, Oregon with her family and her pets; a rabbit, a rat, a cat, and chickens. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys running, biking, playing music and photography, among other things. Hannah started drawing and painting with watercolors when she was a young child. She is an accomplished artist in various art forms and mediums, including jewelry (metal work), wood-working, ceramics, acrylics and pastels.
