About the Book

Life Lines: A Daily Journey is the very personal pilgrimage- in poetry and prayer- of a year in the life of the author, as she seeks to make sense of the world around her; to look at and celebrate the dailiness of life; and to deal with the pitfalls and challenges of simply being human. Because it touches on all 366 days of the year, this evocative book can also serve as a daily companion for anyone making their own life journey; anyone seeking an open, understanding, sometimes funny, often irreverent, always thoughtful, companion along the way; anyone desiring that companion to deal honestly and with great personal integrity with both the complex and mundane issues of daily life.

About the Author

The author, Linda Faltin, has been on her journey for sixty-six years. Along the way, she has been mother of four, grandmother of five; nurse, hospice director, ordained Lutheran pastor. She has lived through many losses: the death of her thirty-seven-year-old husband, of her twenty-five-year-old sister, of her twenty-eight-year-old son. She is also a twenty-four year survivor of breast cancer. And while these sorrows have shadowed and shaped her life, what comes through so clearly in her writing is the author’s hope and inner strength, born of a deep sense of connection to the Divine (the definition of which changes frequently). She is a native Pennsylvanian but for the past 23 years has been a resident of North Carolina. She is the author of Captain Booby Trap: One Man’s Memories and New Day Dawning: Everyday Encounters with the Holy.
