When you have taken inventory of what the Lord has already done, let the rest of the stuff go! If God did it before, He can certainly do it again. Stop trying to figure it out and give it to the Lord! He can handle it so much better than you can. If you try giving Him those things in your life, one situation at a time, you will find that God really can handle it. You will come to realize that God is not like man . . . when He says it, He brings it to pass. It doesn't matter how long it takes God to bring it to pass, what does matter is that you trust Him to do so. Release yourself into God's care. Release your burdens and your cares to Him, because He does care for you. (1 Peter 5:7) God is Right There, and He wants to lighten your load.
When you make up in your mind to release yourself into God's care, keep your eyes fixed on Him. Don't look to the left nor the right, but rather look up! The Psalmist gives us clear instructions in Psalm 121, "I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip - He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm - He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."
Release all your cares to Him, because He is the only One who can fix it. Give it to the One who knows all. Give it to the One who created the world with just a Word. Give it to the One who holds the entire universe together. Give it to the One who created all of these cells in our bodies and day after day they seem to work properly. Give it to the One who can supernaturally heal. Give it to the One who can open blind eyes. Give it to the One who is Right There!
