My name is Didiayer Snyder and I have worked in the entertainment industry for the past nineteen years. Over the course of my career, I have modeled internationally for some of the most prestigious fashion designers, graced runways around the world, and shot major campaigns. I have always been one to make the most of every opportunity, believing that this very trait is responsible for my healthy self-esteem and strength to constantly further my success. Today I enjoy a fulfilling career as a fashion model, television host, and motivational speaker. I know first-hand that the modeling industry is not an easy business. Its people can seem quite judgmental and an aspiring model’s fate often appears to be based merely on outward appearance. The truth is that looks alone will not always lead to success. You must also possess a balance of professionalism and an outgoing personality to match. Your decision to pick up this book tells me you are interested in pursuing a career in the modeling industry, and I applaud you for taking the preliminary steps to educate yourself. Your efforts to learn where you fit in and how to market yourself more effectively will stand you in good stead because both are key factors in this business. The guidance and background that I am about to share with you is not secret, but it is information that many young aspiring models need to learn before seeking representation. Over the years, I have been asked countless questions about how someone can get started in the modeling industry. Despite there being no rules on the one best way to break into the business, there definitely are specific traits that all agents look for as they evaluate potential new talent. In my opinion, the only approach that makes sense is to start from the ground up by establishing who you are, deciding what you want, and focusing on where you are going. I have seen many young aspiring models make unnecessary mistakes, simply because they were not prepared. My hope is that by reading this book you will gain understanding and inspiration to put your best foot forward.

Familiar with the runways around the globe, Didiayer, a fashion model of a prestigious caliber has worked with some of the world’s most identifiable top designers like, Versace, Gucci, Roberto Carvalli, Miu Miu, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Sue Wong, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Alberto Ferretti, Donna Karan, Randolph Duke, and Badgley Mischka. Snyder’s career as a fashion model began at the age of fifteen, in her hometown of Brisbane Australia, which has granted many memorable journeys - on some of the greatest platforms around the world. At twenty-five and at the height of her modeling career, Didiayer, boldly hung up her high heels for a custom-made tool belt. Rekindling her passion for architecture and design, has always been at the heart of this Aussie, who now is a licensed home inspector, interior designer, and skilled carpenter.
