About the Book

I wrote this book in memory of William Dean Richardson in hopes that you would be able to have a sense of who he was as a child, adult and soldier. As you read this book you will be told the story of a young man who made the brave decision to become an American Soldier. Who dedicated his life in the most Noble and Honorable way that anyone can serve his or her country.

Medals and decorations awarded to CPL William Dean Richardson include:

The Purple Heart, the Bronze Star with Valor, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, and the Parachutist Badge.

Thank you to all those of the 1-41 Infantry unit, A Company, 1^st Battalion, 2^nd Battalion, 70^th Armored Regiment, 3^rd Brigade and 1^st Armored Division.

About the Author

Author April Richardson, is a young woman who has written many pieces in her past years, but has found the ambition and drive to write a book about someone in her life who was not only her Hero but her Best friend and older brother. When she lost him in 2005 due to KIA, she was determined to share with the world his Heroic sacrifice and the love and pride he put into his service to his country.
