About the Book

About the Author

LaJean is 44 years old and lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is the mother of three and the grandmother of one. She loves to cook, write, and spend time with her family. She works for the State Of Louisiana and the local newspaper. LaJean has been writing for many years and has been working very hard to get her work published. Her first published work is entitled “Soothing Moments” A Comforting Book of Poetry. LaJean has been through some very hard times in her life, including a forced abortion at the age of fourteen and an abusive marriage for more that fifteen years. She decided to work hard and rear her children in a Godly fashion and jump over ever obstacle that was put in front of her. She has forgiven all those who hurt her in the past and has begun to tell her story in hopes of helping others. She has always told her children to forgive, forget, and let God handle it. That is what she lives by. Her motto is “ I’m not responsible for how others treat me, but I am responsible for how I treat others”.

Another one of LaJean’s favorite sayings is something that she knows God spoke to her heart nine years ago after going through a life changing experience, He told her to Give, Forgive, and Don’t Judge. She has lived by those words every since that day.
