About the Book

Trick without Force is scripture from the Bible, and events from world history. My book will give readers an idea of how and where slavery first originated. It is written in the order that event's occurred in history. The purpose is to awaken an awareness that for so long been dormant within people. It will remind people of the atrocities that people suffered just to have the privilege of “freedom". Some brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers had given up their freedom due to being locked away in jails and prisons. My book talks about how people think slavery started. Slavery has been going on in other countries for many centuries. Europe, Greece, Italy, Asia, France, London, Britain, Spain, Rome and India are all countries that owned slaves. My book tells a bible story of a young boy who was sold into slavery by his own brothers. There have been many faithful people who depend on the Lord and prayed to him to help stop their suffering. Events that happen in world history such as when Hitler made slaves out of the Jews; the

American Indians as slaves; Africans being tricked and taken at gunpoint to work as slaves; women men and children who suffer in Thailand and are tricked into prostitution and if they refused they were burned with cigarettes or endured worse acts of violence. In Asia, children were sold by their parents into slavery and in the bible history shows that the Egyptians treated the Israelites terribly.

My book talks about how the Lord works through rich business men and women who were against slavery. It tells about a magnificent true story of a slave family who lived in Northern Arkansas on a plantation. My book tells about why the Lord brought down war and where many of the slaves went when they were freed. It also talks about the obedient slaves and their rewards. My book talks about the slaves learning how to read, write, public auctions and who the American Indian replacement was. My book talks about the different chores the African slaves performed and about the pirates roaming the coastline. My book also talks about slaves being used in the military.

About the Author

I was born in Prescott, Arkansas with a gift that I didn't know that I had until I was 38 years of age. Although I never went to college I left home when I was 18 years of age, married had 3 children and I am now a widow. The Lord came into my life at an early age. I guess the Lord wanted me to be more mature before my gift came to existence. I have been writing for 11 years and I like it a lot. When I am not writing I work as a Recreation Leader. I write all types of books, however when I started writing I only wrote poems, it was just like magic, like my hand was being guided. I couldn't understand what was happening. I tried to stop for a month, but the urge kept coming back. I prayed to the Lord, asking him was I really suppose to be a writer, then one day I decided to do something with my poems so I got in touch with a producer in Hollywood

and this company was able to turn my poems into music. As a result I write music and books. I tend to loose interest in big books, which is my reason for writing small books. I hope my readers will enjoy a book that doesn't take weeks to finish. I like working with my hands, growing flowers and vegetables. I like throwing family gatherings and going for walks. I've never been much of a talker, I'd much rather listen. I like to be around people, but I like my "alone" time as well.

Trick without Force is my very first book to get published and I am glad to have the opportunity to learn what it takes to publish a book. I hope to continue to have more books published, as I would hate to go through life wondering "what if I had just published my book". I want to feel good about the decision I made by proceeding forward and completing my book. I want to have a part of me left behind for my children and grandchildren when I leave this world, knowing that I did something positive and they can too.

I like to listen to jazz, country, spiritual and rock-n-roll music when I am with my male friend. A good time to me is lying in his arms watching a good movie and eating popcorn. Television shows that I enjoy are the Golden Girls, Beverly Hillbillies and Animal Planet. Books that I enjoy writing more than others are children books. I find myself anxious to get started with these books because a part of me isn't satisfied until I write them. I am not a person who likes to be in the spot light, I'd much rather look in from a distance.
