In the beginning, before time was measured, there were many races of beings unlike ours; one among them was the Rasumian race. They were tall, black-eyed, skinny creatures with pale complexions. They were frail in appearance and so skinny and their necks were stretched, but they had strong bones and muscles. They looked more alien than any other race. The Rasumians had a unique way of communicating with nature and the ground below. Technology, for them, was embedded in the Earth, and they knew how to uncover it.
They believed that everything that was physical and moving was alive in some way and could manipulate nature. For example, they could change the structure of rocks, make them smooth and create doors inside mountains.
They were able to do these things from a staff they had constructed; it channelled their thoughts to the Earth, conveying what was needed. They also bred monsters for hunting and to practice their scientific skills. We know these monsters as dinosaurs.
The Hurumanon, a race of simple-minded beings, were the real hunters. They were very similar to the apes but could walk upright and were much more slender and toned as the apes. The only reference there is about them is to a being that hides in isolation in the snow plains or in forests known as Big Foot.
The Gridrel, another race, were the warriors and leaders of Earth. They were much more sinister than any other race on the planet. Their appearance was menacing. They had white skin and their long, silky, bleach-blonde hair, which they tied back in a ponytail, made the bone structure of their heads appear more distinct. Many more races were native to this world, but they remain hidden and forgotten.
Then came the race of men, descending from the sky like a ball of fire. Mankind had to make Earth their new home. Their reasons for coming here were unknown. For a time, peace prevailed amongst men and other races of the Earth. But soon men became fearful because the other races grew more prosperous while they were still struggling to survive.
Then there were the Sorthians, an ancient race which had survived a dead world known as the Kendil Realm. They too had a hidden history and were refugees just as the Humans were. The Sorthians were powerful sorcerers and wielded the forces of the universe to aid the race of men because they believed men could one day become like the Sorthians.
Xengin, a mischievous Sorthian, decided not to help mankind but to be a god to them. He was powerful, and thought there was no point in aiding the humans and their primitive culture on Earth. Xengin would tempt men to do evil acts and soon enough corruption and lust for power entered their hearts. Contentions grew between the races and men.
Eventually war spread through the continents and lasted a long time. As it was drawing to a close, the race of men emerged dominant over most of the land. The effects of war reduced the planet to desolation and as a result the effect of living was primitive and simple. They forced the other races deep within the Earth’s abyss. Fearing they might resurface, the race of men sealed all caves, hoping to have put an end to any other reign in the world.
Thus the race of men became rulers of all the land as well as the seas. The Sorthians remained, but they saw too much corruption and gave up all hope on man. They banished Xengin to the same eternal abyss underground with a guard called Zadrok, to be his punisher. Xengin was to remain imprisoned in eternal misery. The corruption of man struck the remaining Sorthians too close to their hearts, and they decided to disappear. No one knows where they are now. They might have left or simply blended in with the race of men.
The only accounts we have of these times are those that were verbally passed on and later became myths, legends and folklore centring on wizards, goblins and dragons. All myths have an aspect of truth.
The races of old still manage to spy on man’s progress and are waiting for the right moment to strike back. By using the materials in the depths of the Earth, they are able to harness the technology to float ships above cities. Men, because of their naivety and poor memory, think these ships are UFOs from other worlds.
Today, strange earthquakes and volcanic activity are on the rise, and the threat of global warming is constantly growing. Little do we know that this is the start of a war brewing underground.
The world today is changing. The gentle breeze and the so
