About the Book

This story is about a little alien named Pudlie whose mommy could not take care of him the way baby aliens needed to be cared for. He was taken from his mommy and placed into a strange place called a foster home. It is about how he felt and what he went through along the way. He had to find strength and courage every day to face his problems and learn how to deal and cope with them. He made mistakes but worked through them with help, determination and belief in himself. He had to sort out a lot of pain and feelings in order for him to see he could be happy again and loved, just in a different way.

About the Author

A longtime advocate for children, a previous foster parent and an adoptive mom of two girls, Lisa Lopez believes every child deserves someone to love them and help them become responsible, healthy, happy adults. She runs a home daycare where she provides love and attention to children on a daily basis. She also owns a pet service business that cleans up dog waste, pet sits and walks your pet for you.

Lisa is married with three daughters, two of whom she adopted as older children out of the foster care system in her county. She resides in Ohio, but her hope is to retire near the beckoning call of the ocean's water one day. Her husband is a driver for Orlando Italian Bakery; he delivers bread to restaurants and stores.

She has a wonderfully supportive family and friends that help her manage her life’s ups and downs. “Your story begins at home” is one of her favorite sayings, and she believes home is where the heart is and we all go home when we want comfort and joyous times. Lisa loves animals and shares her home with two cockatiels, a cockatoo, a Border Collie and a Wolf-Malamute Hybrid. She is an advocate for hybrid awareness and keeping wolves in their bloodline through education.

Her next book is about going to daycare for the first time. The third title in her series is about sharing and learning to be a friend. These titles feature other characters from Wudlie's World, an alien space on a distant planet. Each character is unique and a part of Lisa’s imaginative world. The characters are drawn from the kids in her daycare and their individual personalities and quirks. Hopefully her imagination will fill numerous future pages for all to enjoy.
