The Fox and Emily's Long Migration

She is an avid reader and each year she participates in her local library’s Summer Reading program.  Her love of reading and writing was encouraged by her parents, Vickie and Wellington.  As a toddler, they read aloud to her every night before bedtime.   As she became older, Zipporah was required to write a summary paragraph about every book she read.  Her parents’ insistence that she develop her reading and writing skills has assisted with her notable writing ability and larger-than-life imagination.

Zipporah was born in the city of Alexandria, VA. She was 8 years when she wrote Fox and Emily’s Long Migration and was 9 years by the time of its publication.  It is her first published book.  It was written as part of the Challenge Club’s book project. Her other interests include ballet and tap dancing, ice skating, and swimming.
