About the Book

Whiffle was a beautiful longhaired cat who lived to be eighteen and a half years old.  He was able to turn on lights at the switch, answer the telephone and listen to the answering machine among several other interesting talents.  His story will make you laugh and, at times, bring tears to your eyes.

About the Author

Ms. McBeth has published articles about her Parkinson's Disease and a humorous article about a hamster that terrorized her, among other things.  For five years she wrote a bi-monthly mission report and articles for a denominational publication.  She writes hymns, several of which have been published in various places and sung in many churches across the country.  She also writes light-hearted celebratory song parodies for anniversaries, birthdays, etc. for her friends.  She has given speeches on mission work done in Romania and teaches adult Christian Education courses.  A trained lay pastor, she writes and preaches sermons several times a month.  Empty Window is her attempt to deal with the loss of a beloved pet.
