Now That Reminds Me......

 De-ja-vous---as far back as I can remember, when a seemingly common incident occurs; it will remind me of something that has happened before in my life. Even as a small child this was the case. Is it possible that I was born a reincarnate “Knock Off”?  Or some such thing?  Do I subconsciously remember too much?  One thing I am completely sure of is that I absolutely do not have a photographic memory.  Those plays in high school proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt.  I could not remember even the smallest parts.  Well, maybe I’d better rethink that statement; I was pretty good as Juliet in the death scene. 

Maybe, perhaps, could it be that I have done and seen a great many repetitious things in my lifetime.  Is it possible, or is every one a reactionary like me, however they are so busy the incident is just accepted?  When I was growing up, we tried to dismiss that feeling.  We called it someone stepping on our grave.  To remove it, you would take three steps backward, jump up in the air once and start your walk over to erase the feeling.  Those periodical repeat performances were forgotten and you would just move on. 

Even now, I don’t seam to be able to forget even the smallest if incidents.  Maybe if I share some of them with you, we can laugh at them together, and then move on.

I have heard for years, from friends and family alike, “You should write a book.”  Whether or not they were serious or just trying to shut me up at the time is still a mystery.
