About the Author
Professor John O. Ogbor is a management educator, researcher and consultant. He holds MBA and PhD degrees in Business Administration from Lund University in Sweden where he also served as research associate. Ogbor has served as Associate Professor of Management at The Jesse H. Jones School of Business, Texas Southern University; Director, Undergraduate Honors’ Program, Texas Southern University, Visiting distinguished Professor, Illinois State University); Professor of Management, American Intercontinental University; and Professor of Management at Northcentral University. He has taught and developed doctoral courses in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Leadership, Ethics and Corporate Governance, Organizational Theory. His areas of research include: Entrepreneurship, Critical Theory and Management, The Global Economy; Corporate Culture and Strategic Leadership, Ethics and Corporate Governance; Organizational Theory, Behavior and Development.
He has published extensively in refereed journals including the Journal of Management Studies, the Journal of Organizational Change Management and Cross Cultural Management.
Professor Ogbor has authored three books and two are in press: (i) Organizational Change within a cultural Context, (ii) Structural Adjustment Program and the Politics of Adjustment, (iii) Entrepreneurship in Sub-Saharan Africa: A Strategic Management Perspective, (iv) Ethics, Social Responsibility and Governance in Sub-Saharan Africa (in press), and The African Entrepreneur: Discourses, Contexts and Sense-Making (in press).
He is currently the President and Executive Director of Crown Institute for Management Development (www.crownmanagement.org), where he assists for-profit and nonprofit organizations and business schools in developing competitive strategies, management and business curricula and accreditation management. He has partnered with major Fortune 500 corporations in areas of strategic management, corporate culture renewal, and community-based education initiatives. Professor Ogbor is on the board of several nonprofit and faith-based organizations in the United States, Sweden, Ghana and Nigeria.
He is an ordained Pastor for World Prayer Ministries in Houston, Texas.
