From the Forward: Children are incredible examples of God’s light. As children, we come into the world hungry to learn, grow and connect with others. We are naturally alive with wonder and curiosity, and bursting with limitless potential. But over the years, just like an engine that gets gunked up with oil, life can get pretty messy, and it’s easy to lose direction and purpose. It’s easy to lose that God-given purity and focus, until one day you realize that your life is nothing like you thought it would be. That’s what this book is about: remembering what God created you for in the first place. Why did God make the earth? Why did He make people? And what is the point of it all? These are quite possibly the most important questions you can ask while you’re here. What should I be doing with the time that I have? And what happens after that? Many of us take a lifetime trying to figure it all out, and most never do, basically going by trial and error, never finding any real answers. So for little people just new to this planet, the sooner they can learn the truth, the better. That’s why I wrote this book. My goal is to pass on God’s gift of comfort, purpose and empowerment to children, so that they start life off in the right direction, and might hopefully be spared some of the foolish detours that so many of us take in our quest to understand God’s purpose for our lives. It is my greatest hope that every child could know the incredible value of their existence, and the limitless possibilities that await them on God’s path. It is for this reason that Vincent’s adventures have been written specifically for the young mind, crammed full of colorful, detailed pictures that break up important concepts into smaller, more easily digested sections. Through Vincent’s eyes, children journey to exotic places all over the world on their search for the meaning of life. Fun and adventurous, the story seeks to stimulate the creative spark of optimism, confidence and worth that God has instilled in us all. I wrote this book for all parents, teachers, churches and anyone with a special child in their life who needs to know how valuable and necessary they are to God and his plan for the world.
