About the Author
Born just outside London in 1946, James was educated at a comprehensive school and although his grades were high in maths and technical drawing, his written English achievements could only be described as average.
At 15 he left school and worked as an engineering apprentice at a local car manufacturing plant.
By 1968 he had reached the dizzy heights of Mechanical Planning Engineer, only to be made redundant when staff cuts were made.
Over the years, his career changed directions many times until 1986 he returned to Engineering, which was always his first passion.
Writing creativity has only come to him in the last few years, with the aid of his laptop and the invaluable spell check facility.
