Rick then gently pulls Maury into him, turning him around, so that he is now facing the pool table. Ricks explains to Maury how to break the pool balls and how after the break, the pool balls scatter across the table, that whichever type (the ball with the strip in the center, or the solid color ball) goes into a pocket first, is the ball that the shooter shoots for. Now that Rick has explained to Maury, how to break the balls, he then proceeds to show him how it’s done.
Rick places a pool stick in Maury’s right hand and then stands behind Maury with his hard defined muscular body pressed up against him. Rick then whispers into Maury’s ear that he needs to lean over and lay his left hand on the table, to use as a guide for the pool stick, so that it is aligned with the white ball (cue ball) that is aligned with the top of the triangle that the pool balls are in, after being racked up.
Now that Rick has explained to Maury what to do, he then assists him in breaking the pool balls. Rick pushes his torso into Maury’s back, causing them both to lean over the pool table. He takes his left arm and pushes Maury’s left elbow onto the table to align it directly in front of the cue ball. He then takes his right hand and places it on the bottom of the pool stick (behind Maury’s hand). Then he raises the pool stick and places the tip of it between Maury’s left index finger and thumb, so that it is resting on the inner curve of Maury’s hand. Rick whispers into Maury’s ear, “Now what you want to do is use your left hand as a guide for the pool stick to strike the cue ball head on.”
As Rick is explaining this to Maury, his hand is on the pool stick behind Maury’s, pushing it through his fingers, so that he can get a feel for it. Then Rick says, “Once you have the pool stick lined up with the cue ball (as he is pulling back on the stick), you wanna push the stick through your hand in a quick motion, as if it were a snake, about to strike its prey.” Just then, in the blink of an eye, Rick pushes the stick through Maury’s hand with such force, that four balls go into different pockets.
He then goes for his beer, and says, “You got all of that?”
“I think I can remember that.” Maury replied.
(When actually what he was remembering, was Ricks hard defined body pressed up against his back and whispering in his ear, with a faint scent of Curve cologne on.)
