About the Author

My name is Joethella Alberta Elizabeth Jones Gipson. I was born in Rochester, New York, in 1945. I attended elementary, junior high, high-school, and graduated from Rochester Business Institute.

I am married to the Rev. Ernest R. Gipson, and we have been married for forty-one years. He has been a Baptist Minister and in ministry of God for fifty years. He is a retired social worker and Pastor.

I worked for the Houston Public Library as a Library Service Specialist, and Children's Librarian for eighteen years. I also home-schooled my chronically ill grandson,, for eight years.  We have one daughter, Demetra Lynn, two grandchildren, Brandon, twenty-one years old, and Talor Jamiese, thirteen.  I love to sew and do so daily. Cooking, knitting, quilting, reading and writing are also crafts and hobbies that I enjoy. I worked in many local and district positions for the San Jacinto Girl Scouts from 1975-2001. I am owner of Heaven Sent Creations, which is a millinery and accessories and is a home-based business.
