My Daddy the Other Parent

Shannan and Jessica, these series of letters are some of my thoughts that are important to me.  I had not an opportunity to share these thoughts and devote the time to fully express what I wanted to say to you. I thought that writing, gave me a better chance to fully express my thoughts.  As your father I have experienced joys, sorrows, triumphs and what I might consider mistakes.  My greatest joy is to have a loving family and a family that I love.  I love both of you and want you to benefit from my inner thoughts and benefit from some of the experiences that I have had.

I hope and pray that you receive these messages with love. Remember these words by Martin Luther King and how you may approach life challenges.

The Ultimate measure of a man is

Not where he stands in moments of

Comfort and convenience

But where he stands at times

Of challenge and controversy
