When, in one soft, splendor moment
Hungry feelings isolated have been awakened,
Something inside released to suppress
The magic that moment was intended to bring.
Why not a natural response to pleasure afford,
But, instead, overwhelmed rushes of guilt and remorse?
Think not it be a reminder of innocent youth,
When the flower plucked then was much off nature's
course?
Though plucked, this flower superficially grew
Into, what others saw, a most beautiful bouquet;
Inside the stem and rose petal face
No one could see a most delicate decay.
By God's saving grace, she still lives today,
But the truth of her past still wakes in her heart;
Her longing to share one soft, splendor moment
Leaves her still gazing at the wall of her mind.
JAD: Abuse victims often have intimacy issues. Ones who have been sexually abused by one or ones close in the family have familial- tie issues; it is difficult for them, after marriage, to enjoy physical union. Previous to marriage, it might not have been a difficult issue.

God created every living being and has a plan for each person's life (Praise The Lord!); man is inherently linked to nature and has many similarities (Of Man And Nature); and most people have been abused - physically, emotionally, verbally, or sexually - to some degree.

About the Author
Living another of her dreams, author Judy A. Dees lives near her children, grandchildren, and Branson, Missouri with husband Randy. They enjoy the outdoors - hiking, camping, and traveling. They own Mr. B's Ice Cream & Deli in Historic Downtown Branson and FlavorsOfTravel.com, an online travel business.
Judy knows the key to happiness is having a close relationship with the Lord, helping others, and staying out of self. Her heart is in the mountains - Ozark and Rocky Mountains. "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help comes from the Maker of heaven and earth."
A public school teacher for almost 25 years (a dream since second grade), Judy had a desire to write most of her life. She is now pursuing that dream. She loves Arkansas, Missouri, and Colorado but likes everyplace she's ever visited - and she loves to dream and plan.
