I wondered how they were going to adjust. Worried about forgetting friends, they had scrap pieces of paper with hand written notes of phone numbers, e-mail addresses and promises to stay in touch. How would they keep this all together? Life in the military is hard, especially on the children. Not only do they move, but they move every three years. Their lives are turned upside down with a new school, new friends, new town and sometimes even a new country. This book is intended to help military children keep a living record of their time spent growing up around the Armed Forces. They can document their school, sports, friends and special occasions. While getting ready for the next move they can complete their book and look to the promise of starting a new one. Finally, when they are all grown and look back on a unique childhood, taking that trip down memory lane. They will always be able to “Remember When.”

About the Book
This book is designed for military children so they can keep a living record of their childhood. It provides a keepsake for the special moments in their life as they make their journey. Children can document their schools, homes, friendships and anything else that they want and treasure. Moving to support their parents can be difficult, especially every 3 years. They have to start a new school, new friends, new house and basically a whole new life. The intent of this book is to make that process a little easier, knowing that they have something to look back on and something to start new again. When they are all grown and look back on a unique childhood, taking that trip down memory lane. They will always be able to "Remember When".
About the Author
Tanya Davenport Hair was born and raised in Paso Robles, California. After high school, Tanya moved to Colorado where she married and had two sons. Tanya followed her family across the globe to support their endeavors with a military career. Her family was first stationed in Heidelberg, Germany for three years, with a quick one year tour in Phoenix, Arizona and then back to Baumholder, Germany for another three year tour. Tanya left Germany in 2007 and now lives in Colorado where she enjoys spending time with her family.
