Dream Girl
I see her every night,
but she's always on my mind.
The simple things she does,
always gentle always kind.
To hear her soft sweet voice,
it's music to my ears.
I finally found a true love,
after searching all these years.
I'm feeling so unlucky,
not as crazy as it seems.
This true love that I found,
comes only in my dreams.
First Meeting
To meet this first time,
one thing is so true.
Something special has happened,
in me finding you.
The wait is now over,
to see your brown eyes.
I can't wait to find out,
where your heart lies.
To touch your soft skin,
and share our first kiss.
The sound of your voice,
not one whisper I'll miss.
So there now I've said it,
it's all off my chest.
No reason to be nervous,
I'll let fate do the rest.

About the Book
Keeping it Simple and Straight from the Heart is a book of poetry by Blake Robinson.
The name reflects his style of writing and his attempt to share his inner most emotions. Emotions that we have all experienced in our lives at one time or another.The poems in this book share heartbreak, despair, loneliness, hope, and love.
About the Author
Blake Robinson grew up in the small town of Northcrest in Central Texas. He attended the Connally Independent School District and served on the volunteer fire department for ten years. Blake started writing poetry in High School, but rarely shared his work. After years of writing he began writing poetry in the simple format he still uses today. His poem Dream Girl was published in the Immortal Verses Series in 2006. Due to the response and feedback from his family and friends about his writing, he has selected several of his poems to be publish in this, his first book.
