Uncle Robbie and Garth soon had a pile of money using the techniques they learned but then they got greedy and played impulsively and lost it all except the $100 that Uncle Robbie put in his shoe. Garth was so upset. Then Uncle Robbie said, “We came in with $100 and we left with $100. We had fun. It is time to go home. On the way home, they stopped at White Castle and got a bag of hamburgers and large diet sodas and some onion rings. Then Grandpa Mike’s dog heard the car pull up and started barking. The lights went on and Grandpa Mike opened the door and started yelling. His neighbors woke up and turned their lights on too. Everyone heard the yelling as Garth came back into the house. Then Uncle Robbie brought in some packages from the car and went downstairs to comfort Garth. Uncle Robbie said, “We could go to an online poker site.” “You, me, and Dan could work as a team and pass cards to each other.” “We could pretend that we are new to card playing and our mistakes would be perceived as naiveté and not teamwork.” “We could all sit next to each other with laptops, see each other’s hands, and then pass each other the cards we need.” “I could use my old computer with a modem and dial into AOL in Arizona and make it look like I was in Arizona.” “Dan could use my other old laptop with a modem and dial into an ISP in Arkansas and look like he is there.” “We could all be in the same room but appear to be spread around the country.” Garth said, “Uncle Robbie, that is illegal and we would get caught.” “Didn’t you know there is software to catch poker teams and poker bots and Trojans?” Haven’t you heard of Poker Bodyguard 1.0 or Havana Catch Download?” Uncle Robbie said, “It is getting harder to cheat with all this new technology, guess we better keep our day jobs and stay honest.” Then Uncle Robbie went home.
