Candyman

It was the next morning and his mother was not there but the baby sitter was, he could tell from the smell of the smoke coming from the living room and the smell of bacon coming from the kitchen. He got up wondering what time it was, was he late for school. The babysitter wasn’t much older than him he thought or she looked that young. Again he was right he had overslept and had the worst headache than he could ever remember. All his family was gone and he was left alone with the babysitter. What did she have planned he thought to himself, he got dressed real quick for school. Pop went out into the living room he asked Beth Anne where were his brothers and sister. “They went off to school,” she said “they tried to wake you up but you was out like a rock. Why do you look so nervous”, Beth Anne said looking at him confused. “Is something wrong? Are you Okay? Do you want to stay home today?” “No!” Pop said quickly turning to run out the door. “Could you write me a not Please?”

 Beth Anne was a nice person but she was lonely she said yeah with a teasing smile. “Could you stay and have breakfast with me for a little while?” “No way man” Pop said angrily “I’m outta here forget the note.” “Hold on a minute. I’ll write you the note, but I just thought you looked sick this morning that’s all geez” Beth Anne said while writing the note and off to school he went. What a relief Pop thought.
