About the Author
Dr. Pratt is an eighty-two year old retired Otolargngologist [ENT] Head and Neck surgeon who has observed, and participated in, the hearing aid dispensing system for more than fifty years. During his career, he had teaching appointments in several Universities, and in 1975, he was asked to become the Chairman of a Committee to study the hearing aid dispensing system for the Food and Drug Administration. From the study evolved the Hearing Aid Device Regulations of 1977.
