Half Life
Backward through the looking glass,
I watched paradise lost.
I never realized
It was lost
Until I couldn’t find it.
I am on a road that holds no difference
Detour though I may
I find the same ending.
Half life –
I wonder of things that might have been.
Full circle –
I realize those that never were
May yet be.
For what is the purpose of the future
If it holds none.

About the Book
I was born in the Bronx (New York) and migrated to Westchester. Even though I no longer live in the Bronx, my roots and more importantly, my heart will always be there. I have always enjoyed writing out my thoughts and my feelings in poems and I continue to do so today. The collection of poems in this book is a reflection of my life’s experiences that I wish to share with all of you – as with most memories some are happy and some are sad but all are heartfelt. I hope you will enjoy the poems and that you will be able to relate my feelings with your own life experiences.
