Why is it that everyone waits for adversity to happen to start putting their life and the lives of others into perspective?
But people do!!
What we drive, where we live the jewellery/clothes we wear or what we possess, these are outside factors, as buying a new video game, pc game for your children instead of spending the time with them (find a moment and ask your child/children what they would like from you), I bet it's time. Ok, it's not wrong to show the people we love that we care through purchases, but communication and intimacy should take precendence over all.
You need to ask yourself why spend time worrying about how you will keep up with the neighbours, about your job, where you work etc.
If you are only happy when you are spending money, well your soul is poor indeed.
At the graveside of a loved one, I don't think all the material gains are of the mind: on the other hand if you weren't meant to have them God wouldn't have made them. But enjoy in moderation, the real thought on the mind when you have lost a loved one is the essence of the person, their soul and being, you are not vying for anything or anyone you are just in the moment, the pressence of love. Although the loss of a loved one is never far from our minds, you learn to get through it.
Don't wait for events of despondency to arise, appreciate everyone in your life every day............................!
