Speak Up, Speak Out...Shout if you have to! Is the slogan that Random Thought created as a focal point of inspiration for numerous Open Mic and Spoken Word Poetry events throughout the St. Louis Area.  Within these pages are not only words but they are experiences, dreams, obstacles... and testimonies of triumph.  Throughout our lives there are things that we keep inside that we should Speak Up about.  There are situations and injustices that we should Speak Out about.  Then there are times when we speak and we still can not be heard...at that time I suggest you shout if you have to!  Poetry is life and Life is Poetry, so step outside your box, claim your victory as Random Thought has done poetically.  The Stage is set...Speak Up, Speak Out...Shout if you have to!  Let your voice be heard.

About the Author

 “Random Thought”, has been writing short stories, greeting cards, and speeches as well as poetry since the age of 10.  Born and raised in St. Louis, MO.  His journey as a writer began on a two week summer trip to an Aunt’s house in Denver, Colorado.  He has written on various subjects and situations ranging from life to death and as many things in between that he may have experienced personally rather it be directly or indirectly.  Upon graduation from Hazelwood Central High School in St. Louis, MO he continued his education amongst the college ranks where he published several poems in a school newspaper.  After some youthful experiences he decided he needed more, in which be signed up to become a proud member of the United States Navy.  From 2002 to 2007, he continued to write as his life took on some very interesting obstacles, twist and turns that would test his “Honor, Courage, and Commitment!” to many things and many people.  No matter what he has endured throughout his life he has had wonderful support and guidance from his mom,dad, and brothers.  As he has depended on them, he now has others depending on him as a husband and a proud father of two beautiful children, which enables him to grow into a writer that will Educate, Motivate, and Inspire all that are exposed to his Random Thoughts.  Random Thought believes that we can not control what we think or how we feel, yet we can control what we say and do with these feelings or thoughts.  He chooses to let his voice be heard!  Speak Up, Speak Out… Shout if he has to…
